Prof. Nader Noureldeen M. Ramadan is a distinguished scholar in Soil and Water Sciences at Cairo University and a leading expert in sustainable agriculture, land reclamation, and food security.
With decades of academic, governmental, and international experience, including collaborations with organisations such as FAO and NATO, and visiting professorships in Canada, the United States, Italy, and Spain, Prof. Ramadan has made significant contributions to research and policy on climate change, desertification, and sustainable resource management.
Overview:
This online webinar will explore the impacts of climate change on water resources and food security across the Arab region, with a particular focus on Egypt and Jordan. The session will consider the growing pressures placed on water availability, agricultural systems, land use, and sustainable resource management, while addressing the wider implications for regional resilience and food security.
Drawing on his extensive expertise in soil and water sciences, sustainable agriculture, and climate-related policy, Prof. Ramadan will provide insight into the environmental, developmental, and policy challenges facing Arab countries in responding to climate change.
